Terry P. Abeyta
Terry graduated summa cum laude from Whitman College, number one in his class, and graduated in the top 15% of his class at the University of Washington School of Law. Terry has practiced law since 1976. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and has been named one of the Leading 500 Plaintiff's Lawyers in America by Lawdragon. Terry was featured in the February/March 2007 edition for taking on U.S. government in a tribal jail suicide case resulting in a record-setting settlement of $700,000.
Terry is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the Damages Attorney Round Table (DART), the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the American Association for Justice. Terry was the first lawyer from Central Washington named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics and has received this honor every year since 2000. He has been named one of the 100 Top Super Lawyers in the state as well as one of the Top 40 Plaintiff’s Lawyers. Terry has served as President of the Yakima County Bar Association and as an officer of the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association). He is a published legal author and a frequent lecturer at trial lawyer seminars.
