Gregory S. Lighty
A native of Yakima, Greg graduated from the University of Washington in 1988 with a degree in Mathematics. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Washington School of Law. He has practiced law in Yakima since 1991.

Greg was named a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics in 2006. He is former secretary of the Yakima County Bar Association and has served as Judge Pro Tem for Yakima County District Court. Greg is a member of the Washington State Association for Justice, Washington State Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. Greg is admitted in all Washington courts: Eastern District of Washington, Western District of Washington, 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and Yakama Nation Tribal Court. He was author and speaker at the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys Spring Conference on "The Intersection Between Tribal Law and Municipal Authority."

Greg is the Chairman of both the City of Yakima Charter Civil Service Commission and the Police and Fire Civil Service Commission. He is a board member for The First Tee of Yakima, and coaches boys and girls AAU basketball, Little League baseball, and Grid Kids football.
